If you're expecing Neo/Scorpio to play AAA games at 4K, you're in for a disappointment.

I'll find it hard to justify paying £250-300 if i can pick up a PS4S or X1S at that price.

If NX does turn out to be the Tegra-powered hybrid system Eurogamer describes, $250 USD is the maximum acceptable price. Any more and it becomes an unattractive proposition in a market where you can get PS4/X1 with far more games and better graphics for $300.
