Nintendo NX - Are 6 Months Enough Time To Advertise?

Wii U was unveiled a lot earlier, and people got tired of it before it launched. The hype dried up a long time before launch.

If anything, Nintendo should probably hold off until January, and then just pump it up with new announcements every week until launch.

 

I definitely remember hearing about the Wii in 2005 where at the time it was called the Revolution.

If NX is known before the Holidays it could potentially sway some PS4/XB1sales, so there's definitely reason to reveal sooner than later even if they don't start heavily promoting it until 2017.

I bet you remember hearing about the NX in 2015 as well. But the Wii itself was not unveiled until less than 6 months before launch, and that is what we are waiting for with the NX, the unveiling.
