No is not, and how socially significan those movies are is completely irrelevant. Also I don't know where are you getting from that Do the right thing is critically more acclaimed than 25th hour because that is just not true, I think you are only basing your opinions in the scores you see on metacritic (instead of your own genuine opinion), but time has passed, the same critics that said Pulp Fiction was shit (a lot of them actually) now say is the best movie of the 90's, don't rely on old critic reviews when talking about classics.

Plus Do The Right Thing also made made both Siskel and Eberts list of 10 best movies of the 80s its 6th on Gene Siskel's list and 4th on Roger Ebert's list.
