Pokemon seem to follow the same logic as the Japanese yokai. Which would mean anything can be a Pokemon. People who complain about inanimate objects need to remember that if Pokemon are based off of yokai (99% chance they are) that inanimate yokai are common and are even a sub group of yokai referred to as tsukumogami.

So people who complain about inanimate Pokemon need to chill XD not directed at you. But shows that theres no limit to what can be a Pokemon, potentially
