Nintendo is not the CIA, the CIA actually leaks more, lol. Kidding aside all Nintendo has to say is please don't discuss our supply deals until we formally unveil our device first.

It's just a common business courtesy. Nintendo clearly has NDAs on all things NX related. AMD breaches this protocol because they are desperate as their business is in the shitter and they need something to placate their stockholders. Nvidia is in no such position.

I'm not saying whether or not Nintendo is using Nvidia or ATI but your rationale is flawed. Stockholders aren't random forum posters. They are investors who have put their money into a company. Their is an legal obligation to notify them of company activities. They don't have to know specifcs but it does have to be truthful information.

Nvidia's SoC business is the lowest it's been in years. If they had an upcoming project they'd be required to disclose the projected revenue to stockholders. An NDA would prevent them from telling who specifically that revenue would come from. On the flipside, we know AMD provided the GPU for both the Wii and Wii U. They know detailed specifications of both GPUs. Yet we still don't know the specifics because of an NDA. Too imply that AMD breaches their NDA's is ludicrous.

It is a bit unprofessional IMO, Nintendo makes deals with like 20 different suppliers for any given game console, imagine every one of them blabbing that they've gotten a game contract win.

There's only three companies making consoles so it's not terribly difficult to guess who, it's like hooking up with a girl but the girl saying be discreet, don't talk about it and the next day you go and blab that you hooked up with one of three girls without giving a specific name. That girl is probably still going to be pissed off at you, lol.

Also if Nvidia says this, then you know what the very next question is going to be? "Is it Nintendo? There are reports it's Nintendo". You're better off just not opening that pandora's box.

For Nvidia getting the contract is good enough. They don't need to talk about it before Nintendo is ready to talk about it.

Also the reports are Nvidia did have a deal with Nintendo for the 3DS in the past which fell apart in the very late stages. They're probably sensitive about that happening again (though for the 3DS it was probably other reasons that caused it, still they are probably very careful).
