Not only that but a Nintendo patent shows that they are working detachable controller wings after Eurogamer reported this as a feature for the NX.

Now either they got very, very lucky on that guess or the report is in all likelyhood legit. IGN, MCV, and Wall Street Journal have also all cross verified by using their own sources.
