Pros:
1. Multiple form factors means a unified library.
2. They will likely sell loads of the portable unit, as Nintendo is generally much stronger in that arena than home console.
3. Street Pass and Miiverse taken to the next level.
4. Tiered hardware makes for a wider access to software, and also more opportunities for enthusiasts to upgrade hardware to the latest and greatest version.
Cons:
Stronger competition: Nintendo has to figure out how to compete with Apple and Samsung more so than Sony and Microsoft. While Microsoft and Sony failed to get into people's pockets, Apple and Samsung are in almost everyone's pockets.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
