I don't really mind a "LEGO console", I think that'd be kinda cool actually.
The Wii had a million add-ons and different plastic controllers, even the main controller required a nunchaku add-on to be functional in even 2/3 of the games.
Still worked out OK, consumers are not that dumb, they understand how to plug something in as long as you make it easy.
