I remember the interchangeable screens, but not that rumor about the processor.

The thing with the screens was already a bit odd as it would mean Nintendo having to develop with two resolutions in mind, unless they develop for one and upscale/downscale for the other, but the ejectable processor... c'mon, it's Nintendo. We're talking about the Co. that make the GameCube, an indestructible console (proven by not one but two tests).

An ejectable processor would have exposed connections (for power, storage, sending the image to the screen... and who knows if RAM will be in the processor package or not) that could get "easily" scratched. With Nintendo still having kids in mind, they won't make such mistake.

I could be wrong but I thought Soundwave was talking about the NX processor (main body) and screen being seperate things, not literally ejecting the tegra chip.

I envisioned it as the processor and maybe other elements being on its own package that gets inserted into the NX console. The processor alone can't be, because it has to be soldered to the mainboard to work.

And if we're talking about the main body, calling it "processor" is an oversimplification and a wrong concept, as it would be the screen that would be ejectable, not the processor. Right?
