You're trying to picture a reality that suits what you believe or want to believe.

Docking the NX makes a lot of sense if Nintendo wants a way to expand the NX storage capacity, offer a simple (and also affordable) way to connect NX to the TV via a simple HDMI cable and give the user a place to just leave the thing when not in use that also recharges it.

About your ejectable processor... are you nuts? If Nintendo does all those things NX will be too expensive and a complete failure because no one will buy it. You are forgetting that NX needs to have an attractive price, and all those things you're asking for only increase the total cost of the device.

This was actually referenced in the May/june rumour that predicted pretty much everything mentioned in the Eurogamer article. The semantics were a removable screen, not ejecting the processor but in essense they are the same thing.

Functionally it definitely has benefits including possibly mimicking the Wii U gamepad, but it does sound very convoluted and may place limitations of the NX's formfactor (assuming Ninty want it as sleek as possibe). I wouldn't know the cost implications of having the screen and processor as separate bodies but it alone making the system too expensive sounds an exaggeration. Infact it may make Nintendo comfortable having a very low entry NX bundle with a cheaper, low res screen.

I remember the interchangeable screens, but not that rumor about the processor.

The thing with the screens was already a bit odd as it would mean Nintendo having to develop with two resolutions in mind, unless they develop for one and upscale/downscale for the other, but the ejectable processor... c'mon, it's Nintendo. We're talking about the Co. that make the GameCube, an indestructible console (proven by not one but two tests).

An ejectable processor would have exposed connections (for power, storage, sending the image to the screen... and who knows if RAM will be in the processor package or not) that could get "easily" scratched. With Nintendo still having kids in mind, they won't make such mistake.
