Mario 64 has been regarded as one of the greatest games and launch titles in history. World is a great game however at the time, Mario 64 was in another league. If you played Mario 64 on release you would know exactly what i mean.
Just to add, when World came out, it was coming off Mario Bros 3 which was considered the best game of the 8 bit gen. Playing World wasnt as huge if you played 3 before it. M64 was a completely different story.
Mario 64 was a revolution, not just a great game.
