That is, if motion controls are used. Because if they aren't, what's the point of having the controller split in half? Even some Wii games without motions controls came with a Classic Controller as it was more comfortable in the long run than the Wiimote&Nunchuck combo.

I think you are misunderstanding me, what i mean is that the two controllers detach and are used when the screen is in the dock and playing on the TV. Obviously the point of detachable controllers is for playing on the TV.

If the point of the detachable controllers is to use them at home while playing in the TV, why bother making them instead of going the easiest route of bundling a Pro Controller?
