Ok so. Black and White opened Worldwide with 5.13 million. 2.6 million in Japan, 1.9 million in the US, and only 630k in EU (it didn't release simultaneously WW)
Black2/White2 did 2.53 million Worldwide FW, 630k in the US, 300k in EU, and 1.6 million in Japan (Like BW, no simultaneous release).
X and Y sold 4 million Worldwide. 1.2 million in the US, 630k in Europe, and 2 million in Japan. (Yeah, math doesnt add up. Probably RotW or some bad tracking by VGC)
ORAS sold 3.2 million Worldwide. 950k in the US, 780k in EU, and 1.5 million in Japan. (No simultaneous release)
The 4 million Worldwide from XY were confirmed by Nintendo, all the other first week numbers are from VGC. Digital not included.
Sun/Moon should sell similarly to Black and White (second mainline release, after a remake in the life of the system). Could sell better because of PoGo (revival of Pokemon popularity) and I believe the 3DS has a pretty high tie in ratio, but the 3DS has a much lower userbase than the DS. I think it can sell better on the long run, which is where BW did poorly (probably because of the sequel that came out just the following year).
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
