In the end, the Wii U struggled mightily, Nintendo did all they could. If you want to play a decent amount of games that you can't buy anywhere else, then the Wii U can keep you busy. Though I have a question. Since some have mentioned that Nintendo's home console sales decking has been a trend, would NX really sell less than Wii U? I can't imagine that being that bad, regardless if it's a handheld or home console. |
Nintendo did not " do all they could" for the Wii u- if that is all they could do they should close up shop now or sell the company- Nintendo did more to market and support Splatoon than they did the Wii u
The Vita has even done more than the Wii u and Sony has not supported it for 2 or 3 years now- Given all of the resources, history, fan following, incredibly well known and loved IP Nintendo has it is nearly inexplicable the Wii u has done as poorly as it has - that it could not even surpass a console that was effectively abandoned-
I don t see the NX doing worse than the Wii u but if it does not sell at least twice as much then it will be considered an even bigger failure due to how badly they need it to succeed in a big way
