He basically was not a fan of it, and said they most likely won't work in the future (Because of the changing of data gathered from Niantec, this is why some apps still work, and some apps are no longer working after the update, pokevision statement seems to be ). All of this is against their terms of services as well, in that statement.
They could have had communication with Pokevision directly, but from what I gathered from the head of Pokevision, is that he was respecting Niantec's wishes, not that he was specifically sent C&D.
