You don't even need a rooted android phone anymore. There is a web browser called "Free Adblock Browser" which mainly works like chrome but with an adblocker installed. Although granted for other apps, you do.

You don't even need an Android. I have an app called "AdBlock" that blocks every ad on Safari lol.
