Because historically, they're old tech and play on a tiny screen. If you're getting a 1/3rd less immersion and a 1/3rd less tech, you shouldn't pay more than 1/3rd the price.
I suppose with the NX being a hybrid (if true), none of that matters since you're losing out on nothing.
