I would like them to do something different than what Nintendo Japan does, that was the whole point of the creation of the Studio, to have talents making a type of games that Nintendo can't do themselves, like Monolith making big RPGs. But Retro spent 6 years making 2 games that any Nintendo studio could have done. What a waste...
Also, they spent enough time doing Metroid games, they deserve to work on anything they want. Nintendo needs to do a Metroid game, but there is plenty of developers out there that could handle development.
I know I don't want them to do another Donkey Kong game ever again, those are boring AF.
