It makes sense due to the price of porting which isn't very high compared to how much more revenue they will earn and being able to reach a larger segment of the market.

They are porting BotW from Wii U to NX and had to delay the game. Imagine porting a PC game to other consoles.

 

That will rise the cost as the time in development will be more. Nintendo is a lot more conservative and skyrocket budgets is not their priority. On top of that, existing PC are a lot more than consoles and they would have reached a lot of people already combining with the mobile part.
