So for the first time in about 2 years, I've watched a lot of anime. Watched all of GATE S2, DanganRonpa S1, and a few episodes of Erased and Irregular Magical High School.

I really like 3 of those. I haven't seen DanganRonpa. Any good? Have you watched Parasyte the Maxim?

Tales of Unlimited Budget X remains solid. Ufotable makes it pretty, with story changes and expansions that improve the otherwise lackluster offering from the game. It also has one of the best OPs this season, so good on it.

Re: Zero really needs to start explaining things. We have seen three things that haven't been explained now from the past few episodes, but at least it's likely to cover something by next episode and tell us what one of the giant this and that is. Overall though, I appreciate that Subaru is learning what it means to negotiate with the highest members of society, and that even through his frustration, it's clear he's taking away knowledge that is bound to be useful. He'll probably die again before the next episode ends, but at least he'll be prepared to take necessary steps.

I agree that some things in Re: Zero needs to be explained a bit more but I like some of the mystery. I'm really starting to really dislike Subaru though. He doesn't think things through til it causes a problem and when he does think, it's very limited to the obvious. He doesn't try to really understand the world around him. He still wears that track suit and hasn't bought anything to improve his survivablity or clothes that help would him fit in in that world. I believe that his ability to come back to life is finite. Every time he dies, he comes back with a bit more of that witch's miasma which has created problems for him before. Who knows what will happen if it builds up too much. He doesn't make the most of each life to gather intel or grow stronger (learn more magic). He's been at the mansion twice already and hasn't searched any of the bodies of those cultists for clues or checked their faces for their identities.

I'm just going to say put yourself in his position. cause if you think after seeing everyone you love dead, that you'll be able to think rationally you're insane. You're missing the entire point if you expect him to act rationally cause he's already broken. Any HUMAN would be. You get transported to an alternate world no clue how you got there and get killed just to repeat it over again. There is only so much you can take until you break which subaru did.  After what happened to Rem he's now pissed beyond reason and only cares about one thing, destryong the witch's cult, in other words he's blinded by hatred and still can't think rationally.
