Reading this thread again give a few chuckles. Thank you, everyone.
This is, at best, a backstreet song tier song, and the cover, at worst, is a One direction cover.
No offense, but the original isn't a masterpiece, cheerleaders shouting "ghostbusters" every 20 seconds and lyrics that are meant to be serious. There are many similar songs from the 80s and 90s.
It's ok if you enjoy it, it was meant to be a club banger after all, but let's not pretend for a second that it is an influential artistic song that can't be covered or redone by others.
