Yes, it was a bad assumption, and all imposing words are bad. If I don't like something, that's how I feel about it. You don't have to feel the same way about Gen 1 like I do. I'd rather use magnets because guess what, there are superheroes based on magnetism. There are no superheroes or anything supernatural about a pair of keys. Everyone has their own opinion, Gen 1 may be the best pokemon game...to somebody but that's as far as it'll go. It's as far as it'll go for someone to deem Gen 2 or 3 or 4, or 5, or 6 the best ones because there's no factual evidenec behind something like this. I don't like Keys as monsters...I don't like Ice Cream as a monster. You may not like Magnets or Sludge, and that's fine. My issue is more of a design perspective than anything else. The new pokemon to me are ugly. IMO, magnemite looks better than Klefki in terms of design. But whatever floats your boat. I'll respect YOUR opinion, as long as you respect mine because if nothing can be proven as fact, it remains an opinion.

Obviously you can have your opinion, I never said otherwise, only that your reasoning behind it is hypocritical. If you can live with that, fine, however you cannot hide behind the opinion shield when it comes to the quality of the Pokemon games. There most certainly are factual objective ways to determine which games are better or worse. That's actually laughably easy with Pokemon since the core concept and gameplay always remain unchanged. Thus Pokemon G/S/C are basically R/B/Y except with more Pokemon, more moves, additional features, better balance, new mechanics, enhanced visuals and so ons, and the same can be said moreso with the newer games. Basically the best Pokemon game is always the latest one.

??? Please...find the article or encyclopedia that says that the latest one is always the best? It's just so...biased. The characters, graphics, story, at least changes in every game. That's enough to make someone like a game over another. I think Gen 3 is the best...in my opinion. And even those are pieces of something greater in determining the "best" in the series.

"Opinion Shield".... You can't bring your thoughts across others as fact. Nor can I.

And what am I being hypocritical about again? That word shouldn't even be in this conversation as it's based entirely on opinions. By your same logic, Call of Duty MW3 should be the best in the series. But I know people who swear by the Bible that MW2 is better than 3.

The factual objective ways to determine which games are better or worse...is a sentence that blows itself up with one word..."objective" which basically throws this dispute down the garbage can, EXCEPT for on a technical level. "Factual Objective Ways", in this case, is just another word for the obvious. Yes, 64 Bit is better than 16 bit but only at a technical level.

The entire dispute about which Pokemon/games are better is mainly subjective and opinionated. Which pokemon are better, the story, the music, not just grahics, sound, map theme, all play into something much greater.
