They have a big library of games that could be well suited for mobile phones too.

I don't think dropping their handheld business is the issue.  i think not fully embracing mobile is.  What harm will it do making profits on the handheld side?  None.  The problem is they've ignored the mountain of cash they can make as a third party on mobile.  That's what annoys investors.  They should be both first party and proper third party.
