I think this was sent out of the gate to fail with the the aweful CGI. But IMO the reactions are a knee jerk reaction to that (look at Myamimelist, Bananya Cat is rated higher.... a cat in a banana that dreams of becoming a chocolate covered Banana is rated higher....says alot)
There's no denying tho, when you have source material as well, Legendary as Beserk.. however you go about adapting it, it should be treated with respect. Something that this 2016 version lacks. |
Too bad. It's kind of what happened to... many things actually (the prequel trilogy, crouching tiger sequel, Star Ocean last game, and probably Final Fantasy VII remake). Thats very sad because I have a list of old animes without endings that I want to see finished. T.T
