Xenoblade Chronicles X is definitely a game for you that is okay for your kid to watch.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, another good Wii U game.
Bayonetta 2, definitely one for you and not when your kid is around.
Good job on Splatoon. It's amazing.
You might also find yourself enjoying a few others like Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros 4, Mario Kart 8 and Pokken Tournament.
All those can be played with your son but of course for fun. :) enjoy your Wii U. It is a great system.
