Gaming laptops in general are a bad idea.

I game on a laptop, but that's mostly because I don't play demanding games, and it has served me well.
There was one time when I got some major overheating problems and I had to open the thing up and replace the cooling paste, which was a pain in the ass, took an entire day.

My first gaming laptop got fried because it got too hot. You're gonna have the same problem with a high end gaming laptop.

It is nice and easy to carry around though, even though the specs are outdated now.

So I guess my advice is, if you plan to carry around your computer a lot and don't play the most graphically intensive games, a laptop is feasible.

Otherwise go stationary, and save yourself a lot of trouble and money.
