For me, I only care about the sales numbers in specific situations. For example, I think Sony made many bad decisions, and completely pissed me off, as well as many others, as a consumer at the beginning of the generation. Ergo, they deserve to be put in their place. Now, they're swimming against the tide alongside Microsoft, whose sales have deservedly increased this generation thanks to their better understanding of the industry and their more varied game lineup over their first console.

Now, Nintendo, I've always felt was like a good, reliable old friend. Since the beginning, they've brought me unparalleled interactive experiences, focussing on the wonders of the imagination and the pure 'fun' factor. That's why I was sad and shocked when I started looking at sales for the first time this generation and realized how badly Sony owned them before. Nintendo deserves the top because they just focus on what is fun.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
