Islam is as irrational and false as any other religion, so I kind of treat them all the same. I don't think terrorists of any religion are acting in opposition to their religion at all times since religion often gives contradicting instructions to its followers. But most followers have a humanistic view of the world as their base and are therefore peaceful. This is just as true with Islam as with any other religion, that violent followers are a loud minority. The leaders of terrorist organizations are often power hungry politicians who use religion to direct their forces. They are the worst of all, since they are only out to manipulate people for power.
