This is Nintendo we're talking about, there's a pretty good chance it'll be bumped from next March to next holiday season. They have a pathological inability to deliver things on time.

Whilst I agree with you, that would kill the machine quite quickly. The Neo and Scorpio will be out by holiday 2017 and probably packing way more power compared to NX. Not to mention all the heavy hitter AAA third party titles(COD, Battlefield, Fifa, etc) that come out during that time. And all the disgruntled Nintendo owners who have not only been waiting for the NX, but have had to deal with an almost 2 year drought for the Wii U(by then).
