I feel like Trigger is at their best when they're just making jokes and not at all trying to be serious, like with Luluco and Kill la Kill. When they try to branch out, like with When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace (ridiculously misleading title) and Kiznaiver, it almost is never anything good. They just need to embrace that their strongsuit is ridiculous.
