Also, why is the main character so obnoxious and self-centered? I hope Emilia chews him out and isn't all, "jeez, what should I do with you, hehe." Although, maybe he deserves to feel self-centered, given the way everything ends up revolving around him, as ridiculous as that should be. He has all these chance encounters on the street with nobility and pretty much goes where he wants. Makes this feel very artificial, like a dream.

It really brings to mind the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. The main character, who had a kind of miserable life, has an accident and wakes up in a fantasy world. Of course, those novels are quite dark and have a lot of mature content, but the main character, because he believes he's in a fantasy world where he's an important character, chooses to act like an asshole.

All that's left is some good old Battle Royale to decide the new queen.
