So they're saying that in 2017 Nintendo has finally caught up with a 2007 standard of games? How flattering.

This article is exactly the reason why I was not amazed by the E3 presentation. Yes it looks good, but every single mechanic used in this game has already been done, in higher fidelity and more complexity no less.
People are raving over it because it is new and so much better than previous Nintendo games. While it is a good step for Nintendo it simply does not deserve all the praise for merely catching up with current video game standards.
The gameplay is so stale that if Ubisoft or EA would release the exact same game under a different name people and critics would snuff it because it is nothing new and just a rehash of their previous games.

Is it great for a Nintendo game? Yes. Is it great? No.

So it's a bad game because it has mechanics that have been done before? Oh no. I heard you can jump on Super Meat Boy, something you could do in games since 1981. I guess it's not great...

Give me a few examples of games that BotW is ripping off from; enlighten me.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
