Breath of the Wild looks like it might just be the most forward thinking game that Nintendo have made since... shit, possibly since Mario Galaxy.
Don't get me wrong, they've made many great games since then, but they've almost all been rather traditional, relying on a tried and true formula. This on the other hand feels almost like how Mario 64 felt in 1996, a bold and unbridled reinvention. It's so refreshing to see them take such a big risk with such an old and revered series.
