I'm going to really make a conscious effort to be less pessimistic from now on. I have wallowed in it for far too long, and it's not healthy. I may not be able to get rid of my fears, but I guess I can try to hold back from expressing them all the time. I think what really gives Breath of the Wild the potential to be a new highpoint for the series is that it really feels like they've thrown out the rulebook and are no longer adhering to the conventions that made games like Skyward and Twilight, as excellent as they were, rather predictable. The series now has a chance to grow and explore new territory, and it seems they're taking full advantage of the opportunity. |
Well said, I agree 100%
And I say this as someone who loves Skyward Sword to death. My favoirte video game of all-time... But Breath of the Wild has a legitimate chance to be something special! I'm talking generation-defining potential if Nintendo gets it right!!
And the only way they can do that is to go with a full throttle, maximum effort, hold nothing back attitude!
