I used to work in the hardware trade in for faulty consoles at eb games. I can tell you Nintendo had alot of faulties, you have probably just been lucky, i even made a thread on it a few years ago.

Take one Kid, One Nintendo DS/DSi/3DS and the kids curiosity for how far open the screen can go.... *crack*
