A long time ago, Nintendo made a pattent that hinted at this kind of tech. Now that we see AMD, the most probable candidate to supply Nintendo with hardware, announcing this thing, the rumours about the NX using this seem to be getting some solid evidence. For now it's still all just speculation.

Fair enough, thanks for bringing me up to speed.  I'm very eager to start getting concrete information about the NX.  Also, I was on my phone when I first saw this topic, and didn't see the video in the first post.  Now on a tablet, I see it, but when I click it, it just keeps opening a new, blank tab.
