I enjoy not being ridiculously picky over anime. I like what I like and don't like whatever can't maintain my attention. If you get too focused on the particulars of any genre or anime type in general, all you do is limit the quality out there because of a preconceived notion that anime has to present itself in a particular way to be "good".
Also, anybody who can't appreciate Yu Yu Hakusho as a great action anime can eat my shorts. Granted, the beginning is a bit slow and the final arc feels rushed because the manga stumbled to an unsatisfying conclusion, but the in between shines as some of the best action I've seen in anime to date. Once they basically abandon the whole Spirit Detective thing in favor of punch punch spirit gun, the show hits its stride.
