I have not, and why do you contnuously ask this of us? Are you implying that our status of having/not having met the man determine how valid our perspectives are?

I ask this because modern-day software development doesn't involve one-man teams. If Miyamoto were a comedian, author, or singer, I would be more willing to discuss whether he's lost his touch or not. He's not a one-man team, he works at Nintendo which is staffed by thousands of people.

I don't know what Miyamoto does, never did: maybe his involvement is the problem, maybe all he does is lend his name to Nintendo's products, maybe he's an "idea's man" and gives these ideas to others to screw up. I have no clue.

I'd much rather discuss the product itself which is available on store shelves than the work of someone who works behind closed doors.

People with high responibility have to live with that. That's why they have a big role in a company, because they are the ones who have to ensure that the company will be in good shape.
