*sigh* Sony is not giving up and has not shown any decrease in resolve to be the best. SCEA Judges Day should have made that obvious.
Sony realizes that rushing games is a bad idea. They have a ton of very interesting projects in development, like Linger in Shadow for example. They are also showing that the PS3 is everything they made it out to be. Just because 3rd party developers can't learn on their own and have to be spoon feed to make a halfway decent game is not Sony's fault. Sony has released a ton of information and tools to make development easier. Hell they made a cross-platform engine that works on both the PS3 and 360.
They have no given up at all. If you notice they are slowly focusing on the PS2 less and less. They are transferring what they gain from the profit margin of the PS2 and PSP to the PS3. As manufacturing costs are cut, the more games will be produced for the PSN, PS3, and PSP.
I noticed you completely ignored the fact that the PSN has good titles. Why are you ignoring a major part of the PS3 and a good amount of games which include PS1 titles?
