Yeah, Nintendo Killed the GBC off after two years because Bandi released WonderSwan Color, which was more powerful and was attracting developers away from the GBC. Square even ported Final Fantasy I - IV to th WonderSwan Color. I do not know how much the PSP will sell throughout it's lifetime. That's left up to the market to decide. But the sales in the Western markets seem to be falling off slightly. However, if sales continue to fall, price cuts will help. Also continued software support will help the system. |
True , the GBC lived ~ 3 years ( time while it was fully supported ) but it had a huge push : the fact that it was the semisuccessor of the most popular gaming sistem ever :) The PSP only had the brand name , true it was a strong one ( arguably the storngest ) but it was Sonys first venture into the handheld zone ...
Also , the Wonderswan was NOT the reson Nintendo made the GBA ... that handheld never even cracked the million if I remember correctly :? The FF games and a couple of Capcom exlcusives it got where made all via a deal , where they agreed that Bandai will publish the games . Other than that the WS and WS Color where major flops ... just like the N-gage or Gizmondo ;)
