Up until the end, I was expecting Cap to die. Leaving his shield was pretty powerful, though. The message to Tony kind of killed that, though.

I like how, before the movie, I never felt Cap and Tony were friends. They had a pretty good conversation that sold their friendship to me, though. I guess, there was the movie I wanted, the movie I expected, and the movie we got. The movie we got was satisfying enough for my geek tastes.

The letter to my recollection was a true indicator of the Captain's character. Hes the good guy who does right, but how good can be you truly be when you are saving a friend who is not really in control of the "other wise"of himself. Tony and Captain America are truly an ideological dichotomy that has been a script writing achievement for comic book movies. These guys have no reason to get along but they do for the greater good of the earth. In that time they learn to respect one another, despite their egoes. The three Captain America movies have fleshed out how long Bucky and Cap have been friends and why Cap is so loyal despite his short time knowing the Avengers. In the overall story the bigger achievement was learning to overcome your frustrations with others for what they did otherwise it will eat you up inside and destroy the bigger picture. I cannot wait to see how Doctor Strange, Ragnarock and Guardians 2 fill in the gaps, because after avengers 2 we might need breather from typical activities on earth. I truly cannot wait for Homecoming now. Im glad they put the ultimate spiderman into the MCU. Hopefully he makes up for the crappy cartoon. LOL
