Idris Elba is an idea that's thrown around frequently, but in both actual age and appearance he's too old. They want somebody for at least three films. Bond should appear to be in his 30s in his first film, as Daniel Craig did. Idris Elba will be 45 when the next Bond film comes out and he's already grey. At the very least you need someone who: - Will appear to be in their late 30s in 2018 - Is British - preferably Scottish, but they rarely are - or in a stretch can at least put on the accent. - Can pull off tough but classy. |
