I'll have to hunt you down a free PC 3D platformer. But for now I'm pretty sure pointing to the PC version of Phyconauts and Rayman will fit nicely for platformers. And Prince of Persia since it is partically a platforme, same with Assassin's Creed.
As for 2D platformers that wont grace consoles ever, jump onto steam and download the free demo of Gish.
Still platformerson both consoles and PC are hard to come by these days. Past mario there isnt much.
