No denying it, man. As of now, Halo is a series in decline. This isn't to say that the follow-up can't sell better than Halo 5, but as it stands, you can't know what it would/wouldn't do on the PS4 and you certainly don't know if it is still a bigger IP than Uncharted based on anything in this gen, thus far. |
Define Bigger? Because if you Wiki Halo and Uncharted you will find Halo as a franchise is in another league to Uncharted when it comes to a bigger franchise.
*The games have sold over 65 million copies worldwide, with the games alone grossing almost $3.4 billion*
*Strong sales of the games led to the franchise's expansion to other media; there are multiple best-selling novels, graphic novels, and other licensed products.*
Thats not including Halo 5 sales and its gross income.
Now if you Wiki Uncharted you will barely find anything there. This isnt me trying to one up Halo and down grade Uncharted, but to say you dont know which one is a bigger IP is strange. You might aswell say God of War is a bigger IP to Minecraft.
How is Halo in the decline? Because Halo 5 sold 4m copies? Halo 4 sold 9m copies at the end of its life and i remember many gamers saying the same thing for Halo 4 on release. Halo 5 could and up selling 7-9m at the end of its life because unlike most games, Halo games have legs and until the next release, Halo 5 is still a game being sold in stores and will be for quite some time.
*Halo 5: Guardians and game-related hardware grossed over US$400 million in its first twenty-four hours and US$500 million in its first week*
Judging from these stats, i dont see the decline. Your basing success off game sales only and not the actrually brand. Expect Halo 6 to be even bigger and better.
