Wow, I watched a lot more 2008 animes than I thought, considering that I only started watching anime in 2010.
A pretty good year it seems.
Toradora was my only 10 from that year.
Close seconds are Clannad After Story, Aria the origination, Kaiba, Ga-Rei Zero, Spice and Wolf which all got a 9/10.
I highly recommend all of them.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
