It's always best to have 2 and have fun with the variety that brings you. Last gen I had a Wii and ps3, had fun with both, but the WiiU never really appealed to me except for LoZ and that's coming to NX now.

Yes. Its fine to only play on one console if youre more of a casual gamer or a single console offer everything you want in your games. I have a PS4 and a WiiU. I would be miserable without one of the two. Right now I think XB1 is pretty much a lesser PS4, but I will get one when its cheaper.
