Wii U came with the ability to use external drives something PS4 and X1 didn't have at launch as Wii U didn't require mandatory installs, going by patents and Nintendo's current direction it's likely the console variant will have comparable internal storage as it indicates a platform with mandatory installs. Either way 32GB is more space by default, on PC I have a number of multiplatform games on Steam and I can't think of many that hit 30GB.
