That's the point where I could conclude my post with "Way to go, mod team. Way. To. Go. Commitment to the community indeed!", but that will get us nowhere. It would only prolong the cycle of petty behavior. I advise you or someone of your team to address this whole issue in an official manner, because merely locking all the threads where it has spread to won't make it go away. People are going to bring it up in new threads and I can tell you that I won't let it stand when they say that I spun my way out of a bet when said bet never existed in the first place. Just like you and the other mods wouldn't let it stand if someone deliberately misrepresented the actions of the mod team.

This would definitely be great to be honest, because it's fairly sad to see rubbish new threads popping up of this or just little digs here and there when anyone who reads the original "bet" can clearly see that there is no agreement by both parties going into it and accepting the terms of the bet, there is a suggestion of action for those who are wrong....

Either way, mods coming out with a "drop this shit" post would be great, or just look at the original bet and see if ye guys think that it is clear to the parties going into it what is at stake in making a guess in there, bets for sigs and avatars are a big and mostly fun part of VGchartz but this whole shitstorm is draining all the "fun" out of bets when it manages to turn what has already been stated as "a clearly implied" bet by the creator of it into something which they can harass and segregate the community on here with this rubbish.
