You're putting words in his mouth. They just asked him why not release this holiday and he said because of the games. So no delay here.

Clearly their intention was to release it this holiday. If not, Nintendo has no business sense. But obviously they couldn't do that because they had some issue with game development.

Kimishima said they "wanted to make sure there were games to go along with the NX."

But sure, I can concede that we don't know absolutely for sure that the NX wasn't delayed, if only because it hasn't been stated outright, but you certainly can't say for sure that the NX wasn't delayed! In fact, it seems a lot more likely that it was than that it wasn't.
