The Western papers covered all of the above plus many more leaders, politicians and government officials. Putin was strongly linked via three close associates and being he's leader of one of the major powers in the World also got mentioned quite heavily.
Not sure why this is surprising or why any media organization wouldn't mention this when covering the Panama papers.
